Nighthawk Black Pearl; wax...

So I have the Nighthawk Black Pearl TL, and it has SO many swirls! It's absolutely unbelievable! I've tried wax after wax, both hand waxing and using a buffer, but I just can't manage to get out the ugly swirls -> they're not even that deep! So many people seem to be taking such good care of their paint...but HOW?! Help a fellow brother out! Any specific brands? I've been using all Meg. stuff...the cleaner wax, the 6 something something wax, and even the repair wax (the black bottle). ANY OTHER BRANDS I SHOULD TRY?! eek!

Eric

THANKS!!!

when summer hits...i'm going to strip everything off the car, claybar, and buff out all the swirls with an orbital buffer. then i'm gonna do the Zaino treatment again. That worked for my previous black Tiburon...i'm sure it'll do wonders for the TL as well. good luck!

wax will not remove the swirls..

go to wash & wax section.. you should find many good threads regarding polish and light abrasive products to remove swirls

You will need something with micro abrasives to remove the swirls. Meguiar's ScratchX and professional series M80 or M83 are popular. You will really need to use elbow grease or find a machine buffer to get the swirls out. Placing the product on a pad and lightly moving it around does nothing. You have to really get in there.

I'm partial to Meguiar's because I have taken two detailing classes by them and I have seen their products work.

At any rate, this thread belongs in Wash & Wax.

Since I cannot move threads across forums, feel free to repost the question there. I have a feeling there are already several guides available with a search.

Good luck!
