Newly converted TL owner in VA

well for the past few years i have had my 04 infiniti G35 coupe, which i was very happy with. but on thanksgiving day it met an unfortunate end at the hands of an idiot that swerved off road into my yard directly into the front of my car.

needless to say the car got totaled, thus putting me in the market for a new ride. ive always admired the TL as one of my favorite 4 door cars on the road, but didnt realize how much id love it once i got behind the wheel of one! well after test driving several TL's, i was able to hold out till finding this very clean 06 6speed with 52k miles!

i am extremely happy with the purchase!

Nice pick up! Now your eyes will light up with glee after looking at the marvelous instrumentation lighting as opposed to the day glow orange you had before.

this is so true! i did always find the orange in the g35 kind of depressing.

im planning on keeping it very subtle. legalish tint, intake, type-s wheels, mild lowering springs. maybe a clean front lip.

see? money pit. you start with one mod...then another then another. next thing you know your car has you whipped!

i'd keep that tint as legal as can be...VA doesn't like dark tint or loud exhausts.

have fun!

Don't forget the suspension kit! About .5 inch drop and better handling for ~ $650 shipped, but you may want more of a drop so it's up to you!

Welcome aboard bro'. You'll love the TL. So sorry about your G35. My other car, which by the way happens to also be an '04 G35 is my current daily driver. During the winter my '05 TL is kept in the garage till spring. Love the color of your TL, which is the same color as mine.

Welcome! Protect your wallet. I'm guessing that the majority of us said the same thing you did about mods....not many.

I laugh now....

yes yes, me and the mod bug have crossed paths many times before.. but i think i did pretty good controlling myself when i had my G35. had it 3 years and i was able to contain myself to intake/exhaust/springs/camber

after looking around though, i think i am going to add the aspec body and suspension kits to the list!

Congrats and welcome!

A good first mod is a beefier rear sway bar, the CT Engineering or Progress ones are popular choices. Big handling improvment for small money...

when i bought my z06, it only had long tubes and a cat back. 9 months later it had over 700hp to the wheels haha
