Newby Help!

Hey guys, just found this site and have a few questions. I have never owned an Acura before and although mechanically inclined dont know the small details in difference between the years of 04-06. I looked at the 07's the other day and have done limited research on them. If I was not to buy an 07 what are the main differences b/w the 04-06? Small feature changes? Recalls?
Thanks in advance,
Scott

The 07 comes in slightly diffrent colors than the 04-06. The 07 alo has the option of a Type-s car which has 286 hp compared to the normal 258. The 07 has DRL, fogs in the lower grilles, 2 projectors in the headlights, cleared turn-signals, 2-tone interior with diffrent stich patern than 04-06, 3-spke steeringwheel, has semi-blacked rear lights, larger front grille, turn signals on the mirrors, all smoked sidemarkers, diffrent bumpers and an updated navigation system that can recieve Navtraffic, list CD titles, play MP3 and WAV's, has zagat ratings and an LCD MID.

In short, the 07 is a mid-modle change in which some cosmetic things were changed along with some features and options. The 08 will be a mid model change once more and the 2009-2013 will be the 4th gen TL.

Thanks for the reply. I appologize as I didnt really make my question clear. While I have done a little research on the 07's, I do not know much about the differences b/w the 2004-2006 models. I know the body style is the same b/w the 04-06's but what are the small changes b/w these model years? (features, recalls)
Thanks again
Scott

There is lots of information on this on these forums. Try the search feature. I suggest searching for the word "difference", specifying the title only (if you search the entire posts you'll get a zillion hits).

I came up with this thread to get you started: difference between 04-05-06

For the 07's there is also a new automatic tranny.

Main difference between 04-06 is that on the 06 model there is a tire pressure monitoring system and there was a mechanism to reduce torque steer. Also in 06, some exterior colors were discontinued along with interior/exterior color combinations. For example, the Camel interior for MY 06 I believe was only available for Redondo Red Pearl and Nighthawk Black Pearl.

Hope this helps.
