Hi, I’m fairly new to Acurazine I have a few questions, let me apologize in advance. Ok first question is, my non navi Acura tl 2004 radio says DVD-rom on it, exactly what does this mean? Does this mean that I can connect a screen to it and watch movies? If so do I need a special connection? Second question, I installed a cold air intake but while driving I hear a whistling sound when I accelerate, is this normal? Third question: my TL has no fog lights, which fog lights would fit on it? here is the answer to your questions.

1. DVD logo that you saw on the head unit mean that it can play DVD-Audio format which sound better than your average CD not DVD video. If you want to play DVD video then you must have a screen (Navi screen or after market screen) and a seperate DVD drive. Or with the Navi you can buy a kit that connect to your smart phone and playing movie from there, this is why I like TL with Navi.

2. The cold air intake whistle sound is normal.

3. Your TL does have fog light, its locate right next to your projector (integrated into the head light unit). The one that locate closer to your grill. However there are optional after market mods such as Accord fog, Insprite fog or people swap out for a 07-08 bumper where the fog light is locate by bumper. 07-08 has DRL light in place of the used to be fog light for 04-06 model.

 

 

My CAI doesn't whistle ... BTW you can d/l a small program to burn music in DVD format .. do a search on adobeman (sp) he wrote one .
