Newbie question on an 04 TL in BC Canada

So my good buddy wants to get a regular 04 TL new and he lives in Surrey BC.

Questions for you guys. Does the regular 04 TL have any tranny issues and also, does anyone have any hook-ups and what price did they pay?

Thanks.

Dang, not even at least one reponse on the tranny question...

The "love" here underwhelms me guys!!

Gonna have to eat 'crow' with my buddy. I was singing the praise on how we'd get an answer on this one but none... Ouch! Back to my CL corner, I guess.

Sorry for not answering sooner. All I can say is that sometimes on the weekend it is a little slow for answers. I apologize for us not at least saying something to you.

There was a slight problem with the early 04TL's regarding an oil jet. It was minor and I don't think it resulted in any transmission failures or replacements. These links will help you.

There is a sticky at the top of the first page for 3G TL members to sign in. You can see their information and locations there.

Hopefully I will get the ball rolling and some other CA members will chime in with localized information.

thanks. To be honest, he is down to a used Beemer (costly for maintenance/repair) and the 04 TL. I only know my 01 CL sucks the big one as I think my second tranny is going South. I do not want him buying an 04 TL if he will have the same problems but do not know what the newer TLs or even CLs fair.

Ron A, thanks for the direction....

Quote don't even get me started! You have 3k posts and can't even use the search button? You have the time to bump this overly redundant thread but are too lazy to do a search.

As far as an Acura yes I have a 2005 TL silver navi a-spec blah blah blah..... Just because I joined recently doesn't mean I am a noob. I have been on forums for years just not this one. My member number on another forum is 1300 out of 88,000 members. Yet I still knew how to use the search button when I first started on forums. Searches will give you the answers you desire a lot faster than 2-3 days worth of bumping a thread. Think about it!

Grow UP and learn how to freakin SEARCH!
