newbie to the acura game

hey guys i just got a 2004 acura tl, blue abyss with camel interior and i got to say i love the car. I did buy the car really cheap and it does have its flaws but overall i love it especially the interior, it makes me feel like i am in a porshe.

one of the flaws i did notice right away was the brake lights are kinda dim i noticed this when my friend was driving it and the third brake light up on top sometimes lights up any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

+1.

If your lights are just "dim" and not "flickering", I don't know what to tell you. If they're flickering, try replacing the bulbs.

BTW, post pics of your new car!

Once again welcome man!

I would get your light checked out by your mechanic but this isn't the first time I have heard of this happening. My girlfriend was driving behind me and mentioned that she had a very hard time seeing it and sometimes it appeared to not light up at all. I took it to the shop and they said there was nothing wrong. I also got her to sit in the car and mash the brakes and it came on with no problems for me whatsoever. It may be a loose wire or something, but I honestly can't tell you if there is a serious problem or not. Good luck getting it fixed

x2 on getting pics up of your new whip

First of all, welcome to AZ As far as the brake light is concerned it may be a bad ground. If you can trace where the ground is and make sure it's tight and clean, that may help.
