Newbie '05 TL
Finally did it!! After thinking and doing my research I bought a 05 white with tan interior tl today for 7.2k has little bit under 117xxx miles. Very excited to join the community and excited about all the upcoming mods I wanna do to this car. Coming from an 02 maxima I notice right off the back interior blows away Nissan but the vq35 is slightly faster when you gun it but the Tl pick up once the vtech kicks in. Overall ride smoothness is a plus & the cabin doesn't make so much noise if any like my maxima did. Pretty much happy with my purchase and hope is car does me good for atleast 2 years :-)

My dad had an '02 I35, which was just your Maxima in high heels. Dead reliable car for the 160k he had it, although the VQ started drinking oil pretty heavily around 130k. I think it's a common issue for a few years of the motor.
The Max/I35 twins are nice cars and well-optioned, but the TL definitely has the handling advantage, by far. Oh, and the motor doesn't sound like a dying whale when you get on it :P
