ive been lurking around for a bit and pretty close to pulling the trigger on an 08 TL S. Just a few questions though....what is a WDP? MRP? KPB? I see these tossed around the forum, but not a clue what they mean?? I searched for a bit but came up empty!

These are the colors for the TL's. WDP (white), MRP (Red), KPB (Blue)

 

Those are just short for color options: WDP = White Diamond Pearl; KBP = Kinetic Blue Pearl , etc...

When It's clean that is..... People have argued with me. They say "Its black"! I say" look at it in the sun light. It a ranbow of colors! That make it look black"! Now thats class.

how could i forget???!! mine is going to be NBP! In a month or so i'll be the mofo driving the murdered out NBP around toronto....

 

I love NBP, but in the sun you can see every dam imperfection on the paint. It would drive me crazy on my Black cars, I had to get my TL in AM.

 

my favorites are NBP, White, and Grey and Silver. in that order. lol at only knowing NBP suffix. Nighthawk Black Pearl

 

Since nobody answered what MRP is (even though I dont have it) it is Moroccan Red Pearl.

But NBP, FTW!!!!!!!! Just remember it is high maintenance color

I love my AM, but I really wanted the WDP.. I love the white an black combo on this car.. The good thing about the AM is in Florida when its always raining its not as easy to tell when she needs a bath..

Why not just call your car white/black/silver/etc instead of those silly acura names?

 

all I know was that on my first post on AZ i called my car gray and was attacked with a correction. so from that point on it's AM.

 

I Like NBP so much that i had to get custom plates.

 

I have NBP as well! It does look sexy, but it gets a scratch on it if I look at it too hard! Talk about fragile! But I wouldn't trade it for another color. I guess that I will have to spend a little cash on a good detail!

 

I think those are color designations:

WDP = White Diamond Pearl

KBP = Blue

NBP = Black = Adios in '09

etc ....

 

NBP is overrated

WDP is hott so is the bronze (not sure the special name lol)

Because Redondo Red and Moroccan Red aren't the same thing and Satin Silver is different from Alabaster Silver.

 

I call mine "silver" everywhere else, but use the Acura paint initials "SSM" (Satin Silver Metallic) here on AZ since the AZ fanatics know the silver color was changed to ASM on '06.

 

Because a simple, "Black" or "Gray" doesn't justify the color. For example, night hawk black pearl, has a hint of blue I believe. Other colors have this variation too, not just blue but w/e. That's why it's not a simple "black" or "gray" =D
