My HDL buttons stop working unless I turned the wheel all the way over to the left. I figured that there was a bad connection so I started taking the steering wheel apart and could not find anything that I could tell was wrong. So when I put what parts I took off back together the stereo controls did not work on the steering wheel along with the HDL buttons. This may not make any since but if anyone as any ideas I could try please let me know.


Does anyone know if there a fuse for the controls on the steering wheel?

 

I'm sure just about anything electrical in the car will have a fuse somewhere. Check your owners manual and see if it list the fuse for the steering wheel and check it.

 

Could be the reel is going bad. Are the cruise control buttons working?

 

yeah the cruise control bottons work and so does the nav botton just not the stero controls or the hdl bottons. is there any way of telling if the real is going bad ?

 

Thanks I pulled everything apart and found out that the real was the cause of the problem
