Newb needs pricing info

Hello all,

Well, I've finally made up my mind to sell my S2000 and buy a TL. But new or used is what I'm trying to decide on. A buddy of mine picked up a new 06 with Nav for 31,500 +TTL so I'm pretty confident I can get one for at least close to that price. I also found an 04 w/o Nav for just under 27,000 with about 40,000 miles. That's too much for a non-nav with that many miles, but it's certified and the dealer is getting tired of looking at it. It's a 6mt by the way. What's a fair price to offer for that car? My wife wants me to buy a new one, but I'm the type that loves cars and can't live with one for too long because there's so many others I'd like to have. I prefer to let someone else take the hit of depreciation. Speaking of depreciation, what's up with the TL? Used ones are all listed at about the same or in some cases more than new?

Suggestions?

Thanks,
Mark

Looks like I'm going to be a proud new owner of a 2006!

I just made an offer on a used 2006 non-nav 6mt with only 1600 miles on it. I offered $28,000 and the dealer came back at 28,400. Sounds like a good deal! What do you all think?

28k is a fair price for that car. but just decide if you need nav or not. if you want nav, 31.5k for a new one isn't bad at all. i fuckin paid 32600 last month shit

Welcome, Markks2000. I second Athlon on the decision as to whether you need factory Navigation or not. You can always get a good aftermarket Navi system that incorporates Bluetooth for phones. Otherwise, it's tough to find 6MTs too, so finding a 6MT with Navi at a decent price now (end of car year) would probably be a real PITA.

im not sure where your located, but 32xxx seems to be the low price norm (from what i've seen) outside of Texas and Cali.

i've seen ppl in both texas and cali get them for 31xxx.

also, i know you think u'll be saving some money now, but you will kick urself in the ass later for not getting a navi. just my

$28,400 is a good price for a 06 w/o navi. I bought my 04 Full A-spec w/navi for $27,500 with 17k miles 5 months ago.
