New Type-S Owner!

Hey guys - wanted to say hello and introduce myself to the forum. I've been wanting the car for quite some time, and finally bought one... Just picked up my "new" 2007 TL Type-S, Silver with Ebony/Silver interior. I'm new to the Type-S family, so any recommendations on cool things to do with the car would be great!

ASM is the color=Alabaster Silver Metallic. Mine is CBP (Carbon Bronze Pearl). I would suggest some nice window tint as a good first mod. Below our FAQ full of DIYs for your TL. Congrats on the purchase and welcome to Azine!

Awesome. I think that is one flaw I will need to get taken care of, as the tint on the back window is pretty crappy.

Welcome Steel-you'll love this car. Mine is the same as yours. I absolutely recommend tints as your first mod...definitely.

I didn't go with the Type S Aspec Kit-it makes your foglights look like bubble eye fish, to me....not a fan, but to each his own.

Alright, thanks everyone! I am not even sure what the A-Spec kit is, but I will be sure to check it out. I am still reading through the forums and the DIYs for Noobs, I am fired up about this car....

Congrats!

Yeah first possible mods include in no particular order: tint, switch out interior lights to LEDs, drop it, a-spec kit? I'm not a big fan of the front end on the type-s kit though, debadge, the list goes on...

Congrats!!

I just picked up a Type-S as well. Mine's an 08 in Black Knighthawk Pearl. I had it for less than a day before the fact that it had no tints made me crazy. Long story short, it is now properly black with 17% tints on all windows except the front windshield - highly recommended - it really changes the look. Enjoy your whip and try not to get too many tickets!!

if you do tint, watch out for that rear port window gasket issue.
address it before the work is done to avoid the aggravation

I know, I know... soon! So, I've heard lots about this A-Spec kit, and everywhere I look I am getting different search results, especially if I specify "Type-S". Is it a suspension kit? A body kit? A headlight kit? wth.

There is an A-Spec lip kit ("body kit") and also an A-Spec suspension option. There are lots of other suspension options from 3rd parties as well, but the A-Spec lip kit is OEM and very tasteful. Also comes already painted.
