New TL-S owner

Hello all!
I will be the proud new owner of a 2007 TL-S (manual tranny) tonight. Its been checked out by my regular mechanic, and is in FANTASTIC shape. Im really looking forward to getting some serious windshield time!

Can anyone send a link for recall information, service bulletins etc.? I'm going to browse around and find as much as I can-but a helpful hint would be cool too!
Thanks
EK

Welcome and congrats!

Recall info and service bulletins may be posted somewhere in the 3G Garage. I would start there

Nice choice. What color and how much if you don't mind me asking.
I would have really liked to get a 6MT. It took me a long time to finally find a NBP Type S which turned out auto, but I didnt want to wait any longer.

The power steering hose was recalled and needs to be changed by a dealer if it hasn't already.

how many MPG are you getting? i just got an 08 TL-S AT w/ 92k on the odometer and I averaged 20 MPG on my first tank with only 245 miles traveled...

not great. part of it must've been me giving the car more gas than normal but not that much and not that often. i'd say 50/50 hwy and city.

245 miles per tank until my low fuel light comes on is sort of ridiculous, though.

i read that the TL-S holds 17.1 gallons of fuel - when my low fuel light came on it took 13.5 gallons. are there some phantom gallons still floating around in my tank?

anyone else want to chime in on fuel economy?

^sure.
our car holds a reserve of about 3 gallons. idiot proof.

and you sir, are going to be disappointed. the TL is a heavy vehicle weighing in at 3500lbs. it takes a lot for her to get up and go.
I see that you live in Houston(as do i) and if you're driving city with lots of stop and go, your mileage will take a hit.
cruise on the beltway(or pick your favorite freeway) and you can see up to 34mpg.
Furthermore, if you post up your average MPH with your MPG(you can find these on the on board computer called the MID) we can see if they correlate.

Justin is right. hes a 3g Guru

Also check your oil too. I'll get around 245miles (when indicator light turns on) per tank. Once i did a good oil change + filter. I get about 315-320miles per tank.
also make sure your tires are inflated properly and air filter is cleaned.

Also Congrats to OP on the UA7 MT Find. Took me 3 months to find mine.

I think people stress too much about gassing it. I pedal to the metal every chance I get and I'm doing 21MPG so far this tank about half city half highway

oh well why people complaining about MPG? when you driving a 3.5 liter motor and the whole car weight almost 3800 lbs, I think out of BMW 335i, Lexus IS350 and Infinity G35 sedan, TL is by far the most fuel efficient V6 thanks to SOHC.
