Hey group, I picked up an 04 6sp TL a few weeks back. Silver, 62K miles, pretty clean. Not new to Hondas, but I am definitely new to Acura and 6 cylinders. I have had an 86 Accord 5sp, 94 Accord 5sp, 00 Prelude 5sp, currently have an 04 CRV 5sp, and now the TL. Also have owned 2 CBR's, and currently own a 919, plus a honda mower! I am digging the TL though I miss my prelude : /

I am really not used to the 6th gear, nor the power of a 6 cylinder, I am used to having to rev the snot out of the engine to hit the peak horsepower range.

I need to snag an owners manaul (car didnt come with one). It is bone stock. I am thinking of few items, but want to search these forums to see what my options are.

I guess my first question would be, what exactly is supposed to illuminate in the car? I know my passenger heated seat light is out, does the mode and cruise light up on the steering wheel? I need to take inventory....hoping I can replace the bulbs myself.

Thinking maybe a spoiler, maybe even and under body spoiler, some sportier pedals, and maybe the acura decal in the front...

Oh, got a little click in my clutch, thinking it is the clutch master cylinder, I had to have that replaced on our CRV. Thankfully the car is covered for ANYTHING by the dealer for 6 months, though I bought it two hours away, not a lot of manuals around my parts.

if you want more lights, turn the end of the stick you use for turn signals. itll provide some light, but that light wont make it into the car w/o some crafty mirror placement. you can even pull it toward you for even more light.

Congrats Check out the 3G garage for tons of info. Also register your TL at www.myacura.com in the USA or https://www.myacura.acura.ca/myAcura...ToLoginPage.do in Canada. Save your Navi and Radio codes there. Check for any recalls your TL may need.

From two newbies to another*

Welcome! I just joined today... I purchased my TL this week and wasn't lucky enough to find a clean unmodded 6 spd so I ended up with the auto. Maybe I can trade someone that doesn't want 6 spd anymore lol

 

Yeah, I waited months looking for the right one. Wasnt in a hurry, so I took my time finding one. Although I have not received the car yet. Its on a truck being delivered as we speak. I should have it by mid next week.
