Well, here I am, very excited about my TL, It's an 07 Auto, Non Navi. I will have some pictures up soon.

I had owned a 5th Gen Maxima, and 6th Gen Maxima previously, both great cars. I rolled over my 5th Gen Back in Nov 2012, got some funds from it, and as a uni student, I was patient and saved some more and finally purchased this TL. So far I am very impressed with it, I've got nothing but great comments on my car.

Black. I am not to keen on mods, its tinted already, i will drop it an inch, change rims, add a CAI and basically keep it crisp and clean overall !

welcome man. I actually just joined as well and have a 08 TL auto. I came from a 4th gen maxima ha. Not sure I like the smoked headlights though. Headlights still good through em?

please take that tints off the headlight, black out theme may be good back in the early 2000s but now they look wack. BTW how is the ride quality and power compare to your previous Maxima?

 

Troung, i did exactly what you said, as soon as i brought the ride home, i took off tint from headlights and brake lights . As you can say i have a picture at night, and those tints aren't there anymore,
The ride quality and handling is way better than Maxima, I drove my friends 2006 bmw 330xi, and i would say handling is very comparable. On highways, this car is stuck to road like a magnet whereas my Maxima would get scary past 100 mph. On the power side, however, I am missing my Maxima. But maybe because it was a standard 6 speed and I had few mods on it such as CAI, exhaust manifold swap. I am sure once I get these things upgraded on my TL, I won't have any issues.

Overall, I am very satisfied with it so far, very happy with the choice I made. If i am presented with 07 TL, and 07 maxima, i would take the TL in a heartbeat.

I wish I could go for a type S but they are rare and very expensive up here in Canada. Jealous of those red rings in dash instead of blue haha

 

Rolled it over on highway doing 70mph, luckily walked away with only 2 scratches!

 

holly shit, man I am glad that you are walk away from the accident. That generation maxima came with a 3.5 and 255 hp right? doesn't surprise me that the maxima felt faster since it lighter than TL. When you describe the way maxima handling it does sound familiar to me since my dad used to have a 92 SE MT and that thing does fly compare to my Acura legend but the handling is inferior to the legend, so after 10 years later the suspension quality is the same.

 

congrats and welcome! Glad you're okay after flipping your old car! But you're going to love the black. such a sharp car! I got type s thinking I wouldnt have to mod anything but that lasted about a month.. Then I stumbled across this website this march and fell right into the infamous money pit!
