After enjoying my tints the last 2 days I suddenly remembered peopel talking about felt and moleskin here.... so I looked in the door and sure enough nothing but my stock rubber wipe thing is on the inside... is that normal? It also looks like it is bent or pulled away from the window in 2 places. How do I check to see if they did anything for protection? Shouldn't they have offered me that or said something about it?

Should I try to do something myself now or will I probably be okay? It's suntek 45% carbon film.

 

Bump. Should I be doing something so my tints don't scratch up? The tint shop said "we have never had a problem not using felt or moleskin" Is it possible to install anything myself without removing the doors?

 

You should remove the panels to install the felt. It's free, just do some Googling around for free moleskin.

Bro, I've had tint on all my cars (Hondas) and have had no problems with scratching at all. I wouldn't be too concerened.

 

i have tint w/o any moleskin and have not had a problem with scratching although it wouldnt hurt to be safe about it

 

I don't have moleskin and have stratching on a couple windows. Dealership vendor is horrible and won't use it. I can only see them when the sun is shining in those spots.
