New Sacramento member
Hello,
This site has alot of useful information and knowledgable members. I am a proud 1 month old owner of an 07' Blue kinetic blue pearl Type s. Previously I have owned a 1992 Corvette, 2003 WRX, and 2002 TL type S. I usually swap cars every 3 years so I sold my 02 Type S and corvette to get into this 07'. So far I am impressed, I went with the 5at since to me during the test drive the AT had less torque steer, and this is probably due to the ECU program for torque reduction. At anyrate the car is far superior to what I shopped it against. So here is my list
I test drove the new G35. I thought the overall feel of the car was cheap, and just like my neighboors new altima(not bad) but for 35k no thanks.
I almost bought a used 03 Jaguar S type R. Awesome car, not too good on reliability. The AJ motor does not utilize forged connecting rods. I don't think using powdered metal rods are sufficent for the eaton blower, for modding.
Lexus IS350 and ES350. Both are great however I am 6'3 and the I.S was too small and the ES was too bland.
BMW. I commute with an guy who owns a 2006 330i. My 02 Type S kept up with him. The interior of the new Type S is nicer IMO. I test drove a 545i as well , excellent car 50k/ Not so nice.
Lincoln MKZ.... SUCKS
Thank you for listening to me blab. I AM A NEWBIE hear me roar.

The black looks sweet, there is someone here at Sutter who has a black Type S...
I went with the Blue simply because it was exclusive to the type s, and I could not resist the way it looked with the aero kit.

Theres a bunch of TLs in the local area. I think Aug 18th is the next meet at EG Park. For more details, check out the last two pages of this thread in the Club and Meets Forum . . .

Thank you all Norcal members for the local spots. I acutally live up in Plumas Lake, I dont know if there is anyone who meets up there or in Natomas area since it is on the way home!
The subaru group used to meet in Natomas at pucks pizza but they were all rally gurus.

I'm close to the EG/South Sac border and used to commute to Beale. The bug situation sucks and I would suggest/recommend getting PPF installed on the front end of your 07. Easy to maintain and keeps it clean. I visit friends in YC often so very familiar with what the front end looks like after a commute.

Not mine, I have not seen another KBP yet here in downtown, I work at Sutter in downtown.
Luckily as for the bugs they are bad on highway 70 at dusk, but I leave at 5am and I am home before dusk so I avoid the bug strom at night

Have any of you guys seen a WDP 3g TL with RJ kit in downtown. I always see going onto I80 going towards Roseville... it's a pretty nice car. I've always wondered who's it is. It's usually there around 5...

Bluesac.. the bugs suck!!.. I leave @ 7am to goto work and leave work @ 5pm.. usually perfect timing for the bugs. It's not as bad when they knock down all of the weeds in the center divide though.
Maybe i'll see you on 70 one of these days
