New owner, some concerns

Hello all,
I am a new owner of an 05 TL, 6mt with nav. Actually, I don't have the car yet but I expect to pick it up tomorrow or early next week. I love the car, great quality and performance for the price, although I guess I'll have to get used to the torque steer...

Anyway, my question is I live in Maryland, which requires a front license plate. I think the car looks so much better without the front plate. So does anyone here live in a state that requires a front plate, but intentionally drive without one on? If so, any tickets or problems?

Thanks for all your help!!

Yes, Yes, Yes....I live in IL where they require front plates. Cops gladly give out tickets for $150 for not displaying the front plate. To avoid making holes in your bumper, simply attach the plate off-center with strong zip ties (get the metal reinforced ones) to your bumper grills. Shouldn't have a problem staying on.

I live in MN and they require the plates. I left the one on the front of my Acura, just because I don't want to be bothered.

When I had my Expedition with the upper and lower billet grills, I removed the front plate. Got a ticket once (actually, I got out of a ticket sort of. Got a license plate ticket instead of a speeding ticket - cut me a break). It was like a $80-$120 ticket if I remember right.

No license plate is a lot like having dark tint. As long as your out and about doing your own thing - your probably safe. If your up to no good, or someplace you maybe shouldn't be - it's just an excuse for cops to pull you over and possibly ticket you

If I can ask, how much did you end up paying for your TL?

I bought for $24,250, out the door at $25,387. The car has 27,000 miles and in great condition. Its silver which I didn't orginally like but after seeing the car in person it really looked good... just not a fan of the front plates...

Its a 60 ticket if some anal/rookie cop gets you. I live in md, been without fronts for a year and a half and got hit by md cop once, and the dc parking police once for 50. Park in garages.
