New Owner

I just took delivery of my SSM/Ebony 6MT w/Navi. What a wonderful car. I only logged about 15 miles on it, but we are heading out to dinner so that the whole family can enjoy it.

Congratulations! One more 6MT. Welcome to the club. Make sure you park it in the far end right corner of the parking lot tonight. I've lived a 6 weeks of ding free life.

Welcome! It only gets better. The 6MT gets comfortable in a few days and the Navi gets to be more and more useful. We have had ice here lately and I have not had a chance to get out for 3 days. I've got cabin fever - scratch that- I have TL fever. Got to go for a ride tomorrow.

Congrats

Just don't let your kids listen to XM 42, otherwise they may start worshipping the:devil:

If you accidentally let them hear it, then quickly turn to the Fish for salvation.

Thanks all.

It took some doing after the dealer never ordered what I wanted and harassing them to locate one for me (impatience kicked in at that point). My deal included only the tire locks and mud guards, but they also threw in the trunk tray which was never part of the original deal. I also purchased the 7/100,000 mile extended warrantee @ 1300.00, but passed on the leather protection and etching. Did real well (In my opinion) on a finance rate @ 3.74 over 60 mo.

On my initial drive tonight home and to dinner (about 30 miles total) everything worked well and I really didn’t feel any vibration from the tires. Not sure if temp has anything to do with that, but it was around 20 degrees say 5-10 degrees with wind-chill.

I have to say that I'm a bit overwhelmed tonight. I got home and the wife wanted to go out. But after the closing on the car, then off to dinner where my wife and daughter kept bickering about nothing and driving @ night in an unfamiliar car, I was ready for some down time as my throbbing headache told me.

Anyhow I'm somewhat recovered. I finally read through the owner’s manual skipping over common item stuff that I know and reading sections I don’t know. Now I'm off to the navigation manual. I'll HFL my phone on Saturday before I head out to my pops to show him.

I spent some time on this site before purchasing acquiring knowledge so that I could arm myself before taking on the dealer. So thanks to you all for your various tidbits of info over the last two months I've been active here.

I guess I'll retire and play with the new TL tomorrow. Thanks again.

Yeah, the XM, I'm still figuring out. Lots of channels, but I need some sort of road map to figure out where I'm going.

Also, do the cargo nets come standard? I didnt see them in the trunk when I looked in there.

Thanks.

The cargo nets are under the floor of your trunk where the spare tire is hiding.

greenseed: Congrats on your new car. What are your payments and who did you get it from. I used to live in PA (mom still does) and just curious.
