new member...any suggestions
hey guys im new to the acurazine community. i recently purchased a 2005 NBP TL and was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on where to start w mods. the only thing i've changed about it so far is de-badging it.

First, where do you want your mods to be? Do you want aesthetics or performance mods? Tints are always a good start-for any TL.

umm probably aesthetics. the first performance wud be air intake but i would much rather do exterior first. i've thought about blacking out lights cuz the car is black but i'm worried about cops
Well, there's tint, blacked out tails and side markers, nice rims, lower suspension, shaved door handle, LED lighting, etc.

You'll be OK. Lot's of guys have tints all over-I've not heard of any problems, except for window tints that are too dark. I've got 20% tints on my Type S (35% is legal in KC) and I've been lucky to not have any problems to date.

If it's OK on a Type S, you won't get stopped by the police on your TL.

i'm also new too, hello all. i pick up my 04 tl non-nav monday (yayy). the mods i'm gonna start with are
-interior lights (which i ordered from v-leds.com)
-isimple direct connect kit
-side markers (do the rear ones have a special name or are they just called rear side markers? lol)
-tints of course, gotta ride dirty haha
and everything else later when i read more from this great forum......and save some money

I had blacked out turn signals 2 weeks into having my car, to this date (2.5 years) I still never got hassled for them. Tints on windows is a different story. I'll be modding my taillights soon, the law requires you to have a RED reflector in the rear, but from what I've seen and heard, cops don't usually bother you for it.
If you go for cosmetics first, I recommend door visors, they honestly make the car sexy. Whenever you decide to get a intake, go with the aem v2's.
