Damon1,
Go with the TL. You'll love it. You only get to live once.....no regrets.
Pros: Smoother, quieter, audio features, interior feel.
Cons: Should be a bit more torque, better tires.

Welcome aboard! I was in the same boat as you are when I was looking. Test drove them both and decided the TL was for me. No regrets/disapointments at all. As previously stated there has been numerous debates on this. And as you read through the posts, you'll see how much everyone here loves this car. Good Luck in your decision...

Welcome! What answers were you expecting to get from a TL forum? Honestly, I look at a car as an investment that I will live with for several years. And with that in mind, I want something that I will enjoy in that time frame. The TSX was nice at the dealership but only had a 4 cylinder engine that didn't have much torque. The TL is simply better by virtue of it's more luxurious appointments, gadgets, power, and room. It's a car that will feel comfortable up until the day you reluctantly sell it or trade it in. It's not like eating at McDonald's where you can get something different tomorrow if you get tired of what you had just the day before. Ultimately, you have to factor in your needs and desires to making the best choice of what fits YOU. But you know which I would prefer if I were in your position.

Yet another loaded question...

First of all welcome to the fold my son...

Second ask yourself this one question...

Do you feel lucky... Well do you punk... (oh sorry wrong movie...)

But seriously:

Do you want the European Accord?
Or your own more powerful sedan with beautiful lines which stands on its own?

I think the choice is "clear" -- "crystal" (damn movies quotes...)

hehe

Salut

Thanks for the input ...I was leaning more towards the TL (more room, gadgets, etc) As I said this will be my first import as I had ALWAYS bought american but as of late I lost my loyalty (for numerous reasons) and I figure the car will last longer than an american, more reliable (from what I have read) and you wont worry about your car getting/looking like a rental vehicle (nuther long story). Well I will be here for a while and I hope you all are patient with my lack of Acura/import savvy .

it's your decision

the TSX is fun to drive and reminds me of my 96 Accord in the fact that it was somewhat small (and felt much more nimble than the TL) and fun to toss around in the twisties...but once I drove the TL, I knew it was the car for me because of the power, room, and refinement.

From when I was car shopping, the only thing I liked more about the TSX was that the stereo played mp3s and had more power than our TLs.

The price difference really isn't enough for me to say I want the TSX because it's much cheaper. Personally, I wouldn't pay that much money for a 4 cylinder. If I wanted a 4 banger, I would've kept my beloved Accord- it was very easy and relatively cheap to work on + great gas mileage.

While I like the TSX (and the fact it is built and assembled in Japan) it simply does not have enough power. If the TSX were given the TL's engine/performance it would be a harder decision, but as it stands they are night an day.
