acurazine member Rockstar143 has a 2004 in manual and his brochure/window sticker does say "sport"
another known fact is that these "sport" versions come with more aggressive timing.
in 2006, Acura scaled the ecu back.

in 2004, the manual versions were called "sport" before they were called "aspec"

(I also have a 2006, I didn't realize the ECU was neutered)

wOW the forum bull$hit starts quick here. This is why I do not go on forums.
I work for Honda and am able to use Acura's Catalog. Enter Vin and IT SAYS "SPORT". And the Original Sale Sheet Says "SPORT"
Soooooo Back off people. You don't know as much as you think.

when I read the whole thread over, its a peaceful conversation between the other poster and I.
its not hostile at all.
anyways, calm down and post some pics of your car.
you can host it on a photosharing website like photobucket
copy the URL and then past it here.
and dont take things too seriously. he had no ill intentions in his post and im not sure why you got upset.

If you notice my post you quoted, at the end of the "statement", is a question mark, denoting my curiosity. I never called you a liar, but just asked for clarification about your (proposed) mistake.
This website/forum/board was primarily made (I assume) as a place where people of similar interests can share information and teach one another.
I have never claimed to know everything about the Honda/Acura brand, so I will continue to (politely) question if that's alright with you.
IF I was wrong (which I sincerely doubt I was), then that was my bad, but you're reaction only shows you as a poor ambassador for the Honda/Acura brand.
As for your reasons for not going on forums, no one is forcing you to be here, but if you start a public thread, expect it to garner some discussion.
Now, if you can (as an employee) show some factual information about a 2006 "sport" model, then that's all I was interested in.

I generally don't find the need to respond to "off the cuff" posts like this one, but today I'm feeling generous.

Dang I just got told. (I sincerely know your wrong) And do not have to "Show Factual Information" to prove you are wrong.
Look it up. Call your dealer. Etc. Etc.
Thank you

After I traded in my 04 TL 6 Speed in, the dealer advertised it as a "Sport" model.

This guy is going to kill somebody over proving his car is a SPORT. His knowledge of Hondas ends at taking a picture of a drop down menu on the parts catalog. Typical Honda Tech hahaha. That's why I go to the independent shops of ALL my service. Go change some oil Sport boy.

So if everyone can go ahead and tell me what trim level my TL is that would be great.
(2006 TL 6sp MT w/ Brembos)
Acura of U.S. Catalog is Obviously wrong calling it a Sport. Soooo Lmk

^we're all technically "sport's"
but that's not our trim level.
because technically there are no trim levels with Acura...its either with nav or without nav.
summer tires or without summer tires.
those were the only two options.
and yes, when I look up parts at Acuraoemparts.com it says sport....
but all our cars are called "sport"
so....

Sweet! I have the "sport" model.
I disagree with the "call the dealer" suggestion though. I find their lack of knowledge regarding technical matters disturbing <Darth Vader voice>. If I need recall service I'll give them a call. Everything else - Indie shops or I'll do it myself.
