the new guy
hello azine, i recently purchased an 07 tl type-s from a member here - el cubano. he told me about this forum and the wealth of knowledge on here so i signed up. i love the car so far especially with all the great mods that el cubano has done but i cant wait to personalize it so it really feels like its mine. first on the list is a new set of rims!

thanks appreciate it. i will post some pics up soon. he might have been a lurker on the forums but i think the guys in ny and florida are familiar with his car since he went to a bunch of meets. he's got a few mods - aspec kit, tein ss with edfc, etc. my favorite mod would have to be the full atlp exhaust and rv6 pre cat deletes. the car sounds amazing.

el cubano sold his type-s.. damn.. well welcome.. you bought a nice ride.. treat her right. Do you mind me asking how much you picked it up for?
I can't believe he didn't part it out.. you're lucky.

thanks! i know its mint. i wasnt a fan of KBP when i was shopping around but now that i own it i love it! i def got lucky that he didn't part out probably because i don't think he held onto any of the stock parts. i dont want to say exactly how much just to respect his privacy but i will say i bought it for around the same price a stock 07 type s is going for in the ny area so i basically got all the mods for free! the only things i really want to do now is buy an extended warranty (i believe there was a dealer on here offering them for near cost?) and to buy or trade for a different set of rims..

^ screw the extended warranty.. especially with the mods.. it's better to save your money, buy a service manual and learn to work on your car.. 99.999% of extended warranty / service contract companies push used parts, don't pay up, a*hole adjusters, are out to save a buck at your expense. Unless it's a American Honda Ext. Warranty - pass.. even if it was with American Honda.. they probably will hassle you over your mods and attribute any issues because of the mods.

American Honda / Acura Care is good.. get in writing that the mods on the car won't void warranty.. of course they're not going to cover your mods under warranty, but just make sure they'll cover the big items!
