New to the forums, need some advice

Hi everyone at acurazine,

I just recently got my first Acura, a black 2005 TL and was looking at potentially getting coilovers in the summer as well as some new mufflers and I'm just looking for recommendations for someone with a bit of a budget. I understand coilovers are expensive and I'm willing to go around $600 but if I could get some cheaper that would be awesome and for the mufflers, all I want is a deeper, aggressive sound that gives a nice growl on startup and gets people's attention, my budget for that is around $200-$300 and I'm open to all sorts of suggestions about mid mufflers, resonators, straight piping, and anything else you have found that works. I've read great things here before and am looking forward to being a part of it. Cheers!

Welcome

Remove your mid-muffler, replace with straight pipe and see how you like it. If you want more sound remove the stock resonator and replace it with a dynomax or magnaflow resonator. There are tons of threads comparing the different exhaust setups and the sound of each. Type into Google "site:Acurazine.com Acura TL exhaust stages"

It actually just got a remanufactured trans out in it so no worries there. What do you know about coilovers?

Yes take out the mid muffler.

there's some nice used coils in the black market. Street advance. Whoever installs them, make sure all the bushings get loosened and retightened when you set the car down. Measure from the center of your hub to the fender to get them all the same level.
