New to the Club, Doing some Trans Work...Your Opinions?

Good morning all! I recently picked up a 05 TL with 55k on her, base Automatic. I have done so many hours of looking on the forum of what to expect out of this girl and have noticed one of the biggest things has been the transmission. So what my plans are now, replace the switches and switch over the fluids.

The guy i purchased the car from stated that he had the trans serviced about 2k miles ago, not knowing the fluid type they used I figure it will be better to change it out anyways.

So my question for you all is... and I have done searches just want a solid answer so that I can go spend some money today

I am a preferred customer (soon to be dealer) of amsoil products. I have switched the oil to 5w20 XL amsoil, and want to switch the trans over.

Will I need to do a 3x3 drain using amsoil super shift atf, a 3x3 drain using standard amsoil atf, or a combination of both? I have my switches at home and will be taking it to the firehouse this weekend for the surgery.

Your help is greatly appreciated!

Most Acura users when going from OEM ATF -> aftermarket fluids like "REDLINE OIL" ATF products.

Please run a few searches on redline and you will see more information then you can handle.

Regards,
so amsoil would not be a good option then? it was my understanding through the searches that other members were using amosil with just as positive results?

I would go either OEM dw1 or redline ATF that is the only two option I would opt for.
