I really try to keep my cars in pristine condition. I always park in the last row in shopping centers and away from other cars etc. but it seems the rest of the world sees a large bulls eye on my TL.
I am having some work done on my house and the workers needed access to my garage where my new NBP TL was safely and securely parked. One of the workers walked by the front of the car carrying some roofing shingles and the shingles brushed my front bumper leaving 3 (through the paint) scratches. He told me to take the car to his friend at an auto detail shop to get it touched up. When I arrived at the shop I noticed another set of similar scratches on the rear bumper. There were no scratches anywhere when I washed my car 2 days ago.
The detail guy took some black touch up paint and in 10 seconds painted the scratches (like that is going to fix the scratches, huh?) and sent me on my way. In short, it looks like shit.
I called Acura it will cost $500 to fix both bumpers and I will have the repair done next week. Taking the workmen to small claims court will be hardly worth the effort.
Accidents happen but most people just don't give a shit when it comes to being careful around cars.

 

Trust me I know how you feel. I hate taking my car anywhere for this exact reason. G'luck on the repairs

I know how you feel. Ain't that always the case! I parked my car waaaaaay out in the Walmart parking lot only to return to find a shopping cart resting against it. I was too furious to see straight so I couldn't tell if there were and dents or scratches. And now I don't even want to look. I'll check in the morning. Anyway, sorry to hear about your car.
