New to Acurazine!!
New to the boards and just wanted to introduce myself......
My name is Jenny living just east of Houston, Texas. Proud owner of an 07 Acura TL, Carbon Gray Pearl. Will post pictures of the car soon. Have not done anything to it yet, but looking to add wheels soon if I can find what I am looking for!

Welcome to the best Acura Forum on Earth !!!
If you have a base 07 TL, there are many awesome wheels to be seen here!
If you have a Type-S, the choices are MUCH smaller.
Nice to have another female AZer. I wish more women were into cars!!!!!
Enjoy your stay Jenny. Jeff

Welcome to the most informative site for your car!
Did you just buy your car and are new to the site? or did you already own the car for a while? (I was a member with about 40 posts during a month of deciding to buy a TL. This site and the people on it made my decision easy.

i feel the complete opposite! i think the base TL 07-08 rims give less choice. The type S rims dont look as nice IMO. It makes the TL look less luxurious. So if I has a type S id change the rims ASAP. The type S rims look dirty all the time , like its covered in break dust. anyone else feel me on this??? Honestly, the type S overall look is for the younger ppl and the base look seems more for the older crowd.

Welcome to the family Jenny. There is actually a "Woman's Acura Group" that you can join. Just click on your name, look up Groups and it should be listed there.

Retail $380 each is to many people
Yes. Many of my friends think spending $2000 on wheels, tires, TPMS sensors, mounting, balancing is alot.
A set of Axis Hiro's with Michelin PS2, TPMS sensors, mounting, balancing cost between $2800-$3100. I did check all over.
I have bought a set of Volk RE-30's with tires, etc from Tirerack, and they were $3,999.58 with shipping.
Not everybody has $3k-$5k for wheels/tires.

I think you misunderstood the statement. He was saying that because the Type S has a bigger brake kit (BBK) there are less wheel options due to the fact that the aftermarket wheel cant accommodate the larger brakes.

Granted. And there's nothing wrong with spending less than that, either. In fact, my second set of wheels (once I get tires) will cost me about $1,700. $2k is a lot of money, but not when you're looking at wheels and tires (TPMS, mounting, balancing, etc.); there are a lot out there that cost much more.
