Well I just got my wife a 05 TL . I myself haven't owned a car since 91 . I ride a Busa, but now I guess I get suv . Anyway I don't know anything about this car and need advise . It has 60k on it and has the A spec but it looks like the car has a few things taken off it . The rims aren't the 18s but the dealer threw in a new set of my choice . Anyway the high beams are missing so I got to get a set . It looks like someone had spliced something into the high beam wire so I will clean it up too. I do have a question though when I hit the high beams the HIDs get brighter on the passenger side . Do they have a high/low HID? and one High is just burnt out ?

 

The hids in the TL are bixenon. high/low beam is all in one bulb, one projector, for each side. whenyou hit the high beams there is plate that moves allowing more light output, if one side isnt getting brighter you might just need to look into the wiring first.

 

I wonder if he is just seeing the cutoff. The light is higher on the passenger side and lower on the drivers side, so not to blind oncoming traffic. But both lights are still working. And welcome to AZ

Cool so you don't think one is burnt out . Maybe the plate is not moving up then . I know what the other guy means by the way its higher on one side ( just a little ) . I just wasn't sure if HIDs could be a high / low combo . I have a HID low on my Busa and didn't know that . I'll try to get a pic of the wiring , all they did was splice into the high beam wires and add something . but its been removed so I just need to take the splice out to clean it up . What bulbs do you guys recommend for this ? Sylvainia silvers??
