New to Acura TL

Hi all,

Nice forums you have here, already found helpful post on my Keyless Settings remote syncing ! One key was ok but the other was not.

Just picked up a 2006 Acura TL non-navi yesterday. Had 12,200kms on it... was a managers car at the dealership or something.

Eager to learn a lot about this car. Hopefully I can find something here about using the bluetooth better! I dial from my phone and is annoying that I have to manually transfer the call to the car? Almost makes me want to go back to my headset!

Anyways, see you around!

welcome to the thunderdome BITCH hahaha jk. You said in KM, where are you from? (assuming canada but where exactly)

you can imput 50 numbers I think into the car, so then you just say the name and it will dial it from there. You dont even have to touch your phone.

Hey! from Vancouver BC, is that ok? Mostly US people here I guess?

As for the bluetooth, it would be better if it just switches automatically better. I was storing some numbers today and I'm already coming to issues about names sounding too close to another entry... hmm maybe I have to deal with it.

Yea I just saw the thread with the audi style string LED. It's too awesome.

I'm coming from a Prelude, well I still have it... so mods will be minimal in this car... (that's what I say for now!! haha)

I just bought a 2006 TL as well. Bought mine off of craigslist. Had is shipped up here to Alaska. Never saw it until I picked it up in Anc. I still have yet to figure out the voice recognition thing. I will do that here soon.

Congrats on the purchase.

Welcome to Azine dude. Lots and lots of good info here, make sure to use the search" or just ask...many members are very helpful. I was a roamer around here before i actually joined as well, and honestly this page helped me decide to get the car ASAP. Take care of your new baby!

Welcome to AZ. You can find out more about Bluetooth in this section:

https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-audio-bluetooth-electronics-navigation-94/

Plenty of members around the BC and Seattle area. Sometimes they have meets. Check out the Meets section for those.

Thanks for the welcomes!

I was pretty comfy in the prelude, really enjoy driving it but it's strictly a summer car for me. The TL feels like a huge boat right now but handles quite nice for a big car. It's only been 1 full day I've had it now though.

Seems gas mileage not too hot though... oh well

I had to adjust to that heavy feeling too...seems like you get less feedback from the TL, I missed my 'lude for a while. But once I adjusted to the TL and had a few good opportunities to test its limits, it was on and poppin'! I'm about to put on a spring kit this weekend (hopefully) and maybe the added stiffness will help me feel more feedback...
