new to 3g

Hello 3g people,
I have been in the 2g forum for a year now since I got my 2g and now since I got a better job with a 20% pay increase, its time to upgrade. I am looking at a 2005, SSM with 56k miles (90 000 km). It is a 6speed and a non-navi model. What are some things I should be looking out for when looking over the car? I drove it already and it seems to be fine, no noises, clunking, engine is quiet, pulls strong... seems to be fine but I havent looked too much into it so I will be doing that today more thoroughly.

Has the 3rd gear TSB been performed on the vehicle?

What about any of the recalls (power steering and windshield wiper motor)?

Welcome to the 3G world.

There's really nothing particular to the 3G you should look for aside from recalls. However, you want to make sure you check the car for dents, scratches, overspray or other signs of body work.

If it looks and rides fine, chances are the car is ok. an 05 with non-navi and 56k miles should not go for more than 18k in great condition.

Good luck!

Well there is minor rock chips and thats about it but this is canada and roads are shit. And cars are more expensive than in US. New Type s with navi comes out to 56k almost. I am getting this car for less than mid 20's with another set of winter tires mounted on Tl stock rims.

I was not aware of these recalls. I will ask the seller today, if it was performed. And what is TSB?
Car still has about 10 000km warranty so I will take it to Acura to check it out and do all the recalls if needed.
