New '08 TL-S owner - questions about the OEM underbody spoiler kit

Hi guys. Long time member / lurker.

I recently picked up an 08 TL Type-S and was looking into OEM upgrades. Coming from a Honda, I was checking out the underbody spoiler kits available.

This is where I need some help. I see some folks install the A-Spec kit ... then I see a Type-S kit listed online. (see below)

For anyone with an OEM kit installed on their Type-S, can you post pictures? It would be much appreciated.

There's plenty of threads with pics. Actually you'd have a better range looking thru the photo gallery.

I just installed the front A-Spec under spoiler for my TL Type S, but I can't get the front spoiler to sit right on the bumper! The stickers that the spoiler attaches to the bumper don't stick very well and there is a gap between the bumper and the spoiler. How do I get that to sit right? I followed the directions on the PDR instructions, but it does not want to be flush.

There's your problem. You had used stickers.

There are no screws used in the area just under the headlights, so stickers are the only way to attach the front under spoiler to the bumper.

I'm just yanking your chain. I'm sure you're referring to the double sided tape that comes with our kits. I'll be picking up some 3M double sided tape for my rear lip after reading the comments in the 3G General Discussions thread.

Did you happen to remove your lower honeycomb grills? It took me a while to figure out they need to be removed

Yep. Still won't go on right. I bought some extra strength 3M double-sided tape. I wonder if it would be better if I left the old tape on and just added the new 3M tape or it I should take the OEM tape off and just put on the 3M tape.

If you can, remove the old tape because the adhesive will wear out over time from car washings. This had happened to my lip kit when I had my '05.
