Lightbulb New '07 TL-S KBP owner. Looking for some guidance

Looking to hear some ideas on how to personalize my car more. I read up on all kinds of performance related things. now looking more for little touches to help me stand out. Stuff like modding my taillights and upgrading my audio, etc. Heard acurazine was a friendly place to bounce ideas around. so let it rip ladies and gents

i think you need to focus on a specific area first. performance vs aesthetics vs audio, etc

what are your goals with the car? what is your budget?

Audio up to iPod and subwoofer connectivity. Then aesthetics. Ipod I know is an isimple thing. The rest I could find if I spent a few more hours combing the forums. So maybe just some ideas about visual here. Little tweaks that you guys have done of know about that I may not have seen yet

Thanks guys. Anyone have any other way to wire an amp in than line out converter? I'm gonna do the iSimple for the iPod interface but I'd much rather not use a line out for Subs as I've had issues with feedback in the past

And I have question about the a-spec kit as well. I see there are a lot of places to get them Oem with factory paint match. But is it the same for the type s and the base model? Because i have see people say both ways I'm pretty sure

take the signal at the factory amp.

and about your aspec question, if you order your model and year aspec kit it will come painted to your exact color, unless your color and year have been discontinued.

Is there a good Diy here with pictures of that wiring harness and how to access it, etc. One that someone has used themselves and know it to work that way

^you're gonna have to look through the audio section to find what you need
https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-audio-bluetooth-electronics-navigation-94/

and actually, if you take the signal from the amp, it connects directly to your aftermarket amp via high level input

First place you might want to check out for an a-spec kit is a user/vendor on here - Bruce aka AckTL05, Search for him and shoot him a PM - if he has the A-Spec kit in KBP available I'd recommend getting it through him - probably the best price and a really helpful guy. You can find him HERE.

KBP is a color available only for the Type-S, and the Type-S A-Spec lip kit is different from the Base model. The differences between the Base and Type-S kits can be seen HERE.

IMO the two biggest things you can do to drastically improve the look of the TL is the A-Spec kit and a nice drop. Everything else is great, but secondary

I'm a new owner myself and am focusing on a tint, real roof spoiler and some tag light LED's to get my toe dipped rather than just diving into the mod pool. After that it's a toss up between doing some exhaust and CAI work or the A-Spec kit.

Audio in the car, to me, is more than enough. Maybe throw in a good 10" sub but otherwise it's all good to me. I'd rather my car look good/perform good other than the already good audio be minorly enhanced.

One of the quickest things you can do to make your car stand out is to change out some bulbs. The easiest ones to change are reverse lights, license plate lights, interior lights, and fog lights. Turn signals and DRLs are good to change too but they require resistors, so you'd have to remember to include them when changing the bulbs out.

Congrats on the TL. A good place to start without spending a ton of money would be tint. I personally like 35% all around. Looks clean, is usually legal, and you can still see out at night. Interior LED's are also easy and cheap to do. I recommend the Osram/Sylvania LEDriving 194 bulbs. The aren't the cheapest, but they are a quality bulb that puts out pure white light. No annoying hyper white/blue light. These bulbs are also available in some auto stores and I even heard walmart has them too. Use these same bulbs for your license plate as well.
Aspec kit can also be a good mod, but they are supposedly hard to come by now and will probably cost $700+.
If you want wheels I think the dark gray aspec wheels look great and you can never go wrong with those on the TL.
