Neel Help on Cleaning this Crap Off
Ok this is retarded but here goes. Ne wayz... I have the TYPE S Spoiler on my TL and I tried the 3M double side tape method 3x and it basically would stick initially but few months down the line it would lift off again. So this shop decided to Epoxy it down and told me that it would be stuck permanently which I had no objections to anyways.
Spoiler is defenitely stuck on properly but I have some slight seepage of the epoxy around the edges of the spoiler, particular all across the bottom portion of the spoiler where it meets the trunk lid. It looks bad. I want to know if there is any solvent that I can use to take the excess epoxy off without removing paint?
What do you guys suggest? I know I'm retarded.

epoxy on our beautiful paint?! =/
I dunno bout that I would have had them use the screw in and 3m tape method.. but.. becareful if you go the solvent route as you can... remove the epoxy and your paint!
If you heat it up will it give at all so you can pull it off? Can you uber carefully score the epoxy where it seeps out and then try picking it off like mentioned above? I'd be afraid of using anything other than my fingernail because i'd hate to slip up and jab part of the body work

A body shop did this? And they didn't/won't remove the excess?
Otherwise, yeah, try heat first and see if you can make it slightly gooey and peel it off. Not sure that will even work though, epoxy is usually pretty strong stuff.

Trust me I learnt a huge lesson on body work and body shops!! Experience is the best teacher in life. But then again you think you would be able to put your confidence in a forum member.
