Needed: Honest Opinion.

I need some honest opinions but please no smartass comments. I've been looking at getting a 3rd Gen TL for a while now. And I think now might the time.

2004 TL - NBP/Camel @ $17300
88k, 2 owners

2004 TL - AM/Ebony @ 18000
85k, 1 owner

Which one would you get? Both cars are in very good condition.

You didn't mention whether one is auto or stick or not, or whether one is Nav or not. However, assuming they are otherwise equal - I love the AM/Ebony combination (given that's what I own in the '06 variety). There are A LOT of NBP fans on this board, so I'm sure you'll hear from them. I just don't know how well that parchment interior holds up over time (that it CAN'T hold up well; I just honestly don't know). For me, the vote would be the AM/Ebony.

i have NBP w/ebony interior. Camel interior is just too hard to keep clean. But if I had to pick, NBP camel.

Pro: 1 owner, Dark Interior, over all a sexy combo.

Usually an owner who keeps a car this long relied on the car to be well maintained, so he kept up with the maintenance, hopefully.

It's all about hearing how it sounds, how it drives...at 85K you need to think about it, considering you will be doing a timing belt and a water pump replacement soon.

For the first car do you know how long owner 1 had the car and for how long owner 2 had the car? If owner 2 has not had the car for that long and is trying to sell it again I would be very weary about that. just my 2 cents.

I'd go with Car two for the simple fact that it's only had one previous owner. Take that for whats it worth though.
