This is for the Type-S rear lip on a Type-S. In the middle of the install and need some help!

So I've got the rear bumper off and the holes are drilled. The instructions say that I need to cut the exhaust openings out of the bumper but people here have said this isn't needed. Which is it? I test fit the lip on the bumper with the exhaust openings intact and it doesn't seem like it sits right.

If you do need to cut the openings out, where do you actually cut? The instructions say there is a cut line, but I can't see it (I could barely make out the marks for the drill holes).

Found an old thead where they mention cutting so looks like I'll do that. I got the lip over the bumper but still seems like it would fit better with the bumper's exhaust openings removed.
