NEED TO KNOW - Mazdaspeed 3 vs Acura TL
It's just one of those things; I hate this guy. Talks trash all the time. Came from a crappy little RX-8, and now drives around a 09 (or older) Mazdaspeed 3. Sure this thing puts out 263 horses and 280 lbs of torque, but I think I have a chance. Plus, he isn't the best driver. I test drove the NEW 2010 MS3, wasn't impressed. Thought it was slower than the TL. MY TL, fully bolted on, minus P2R stuff. The race hasn't happened yet, but it will...

those things haul ass from a roll. From a dig the Mazda ECU limits the amount of torque in 1st gear due to the FWD status. Try from a dig and a roll and see how you do. I am guessing he will pull you from a roll. His power to weight ratio and torque to weight ratio are better than yours. I hope you win though! good luck

My friend and I are suppose to run our cars for a while now but haven't gotten the chance to. He has a 2010 Mazdaspeed3, says I'll take him in the long run but I don't know he's a pretty good driver. I have a type s though.

its not worth gutting your car man. you drive a nice car. Its not supposed to be a super fast car. Its a TL. Get a SRT-4 if you want a gutted fast car. It comes stock with a crappy interior anyway! Or better yet a new Cobalt SS turbo. Talk about a fast cheap car!

im putting down what some supercharged auto guys were making haha.
but honestly, judging by times and mods, power. im thinking 13.9-13.8 with new tires (my current ones lose traction when vtec engages in first gear.
after i tune it this weekend ill take it to the track.

True. There's this SRT-4 around my way that runs 11's and talks down to everyone and is pretty much like your buddy. He'll go up to groups of cars at our local car meets and call out the fastest one and if they decline he drives up to them and revs the shit out of his engine.
One time a mustang got mad and did a burn our right next to his car and he had to quickly run to each door and roll up his windows.
