Need info on body kit
Has anyone installed the 04 TL factory body kit personally? I know the front & rear parts are installed over existing bumpers, but not sure about the side skirts, do they install over factory panels below the doors, or do these panels have to be removed first, like the 2nd gen TL's?
Thanks.
Thanks.

if u look at the pics of members that have the body kit....is doesnt seem likely that the aero kit goes over the existing side piece, just not enough space to fit over the existing one. i'm getting my kit this friday according to fed ex tracking. and will install it Sat. i will post it after i install it. I'm hoping the side pieces replaces the stock ones b/c i tore my stock one running over a curb..=)

Sorry to hear you tore a stock piece. I don't know about 04's but for 2nd gen TL's, you do need to remove the side pieces 1st; however, their aero kit looks quite diff. I scatched the front air-dam over a curb too, I guess we have to be extra careful with those aero kits, especially if we plan to install the springs (& rest of the parts) from A-spec which will lower the car about 1". BTW, do you know if this body kit is same as the 1 in A-spec? If yes, can we purchase A-spec components individually?

FYI, the dealer charges $225 (3 hours @ $75/hr) + tax, for installation of the body kit. The hourly rate may vary depending on location. Also, when looking down, there are noticeable gaps on each side of the front airdam, which Iv'e heard quite a few complaints in the forum & on my car. Might be a design flaw. Please let me know how yours come out after it's installed. Thanks.

I think it'll look fine, IT doesnt look like the sides are lowered with body kit so there shouldnt be a difference.
It didnt look bad when I built the car with rear kit on acura site

2K4TLkev,
I'm also starting to like the look of the kit. It's growing on me. I think it give a more aggressive and cleaner look. Can you also email me the install instructions.
tim_nguyen9@yahoo.com
How did your install of the kit go? Status? Pics?
Tajam.....how about some pics of just the rear installed?

If you put the words honda, cura, world (in tajam's post) together (no spaces & commas) between www. & .com you'll get to the site, then look for the 04 TL bodykit. The forum edited this particular URL by inserted *'s. If you still can't connect, PM me with your email addr & I'll reply with EXACT link to the product you're looking for.
