Question Need help with rear LED turn signals

1. Just a background of what I already did to the car. I blacked out the headlights so there are no amber reflectors on them. I bought and installed 2 amber leds so that I would get correct color on the turning signals. Because of them being LEDs i got the rapid turn signal blinking. OK so i went and bought the resistors(or whatever they're called) and installed them near the tail lights(since it was the easiest place to install them and azine members stated they run on the same wiring.)

2. I now installed the DEPO smoked tail lights and had to do the same thing with the rear turn signals. I bought 2 rear red leds and now they blink like crazy. The hazards work fine and blink at the right speed. But when i turn on the blinkers they go crazy fast. I just need to know how to fix it and if I need to buy more resistors or whatever.

I need help.

Please and Thank You!

P.S. I also have the sidemarkers blinking mod working with the turn signals.

Sounds like you need more resisters. The first pair was only enough for one LED per side. You can test this by taking one resistor from one side and adding it to the other. I think it needs to be in series to double the resistance.

Thanks, I ordered another pair to install. I figured that's what it was but didn't know if adding more resistors would do the job. Thanks

It depends what size resistors you have. In my old car I was running 6 volt 50 watt resistors just fine. I'm going to guess you had 3v 50w resistors first, which menas you should've bought 6v 50w resistors. Basically you're doing the same thing if you add the 3v resistors.
