Need help with O2 sensor error code

My check engine light just came on. I checked the error code with a scanner and it said:

P2240 O2 Sensor Positive Current Control Circuit Open - Bank 2 Sensor 1

I was wondering if someone could tell me what this meant. Is it likely that I need a new sensor or could something else be wrong. If I need a new sensor, is it something I can change myself, and where can I find instructions for how to change it?

Thanks.

what have you done to the car lately? what year is your car? I am not telling you to replace o2 sensor now because you need to know what is wrong with the car first. Are you able to clear the code? I am copying the whole description for you. Read thru it and ask more questions if you have too. GOod luck!!
