if you want a remote from the the 04-06 Tl, its like 80 dollars while the new switchblade is 39.95 dollars. They should charge like 100 dollars to program the key (07 switchblade), so going with a switchblade would be better because the 04-06 FOB can be broken easily. Its only a matter of 30 dollars, and the plus about the switchbblade is that you don't need to worry about gving a valet key.

Read your owner's manual. Many manufacturers allow you to program a third key if you have two. You only need the dealer if you have just one key. I'm not sure on the TL if this is accurate...but it is with many other makes.
