Need help making a choice on Acura TL Type S!

Hey everyone!

I've got my eye on a couple of Acura TL S', both seem very good but have their pros and cons... It's making it hard for me to choose one. It's basically between a 2007 and a 2008. The only problem with the 2008 is that it is in the States and I would have to import it here to Canada... which is a lot of trouble and the warranty will be void but it is in immaculate condition and has only had 1 owner. The 2007 one has less km and is in Canada which makes things easier. However, it has already had two owners but it seems to be in great condition and has lower than 20,000 km. Basically, I'm wondering if there is a difference between a 2007 and 2008 model. I feel that I might regret not having the final year (2008) before the TL's changed. Should I even worry about it? Should I just go with the 2007? I'm also scared of waiting and not being able to find another TL S with this low kms since they don't make these anymore. Would love to hear your suggestions!

I totally agree. It's a no-brainer - get the 2007. There is no difference between the 2007 and 2008 as far as features, options, etc. Voiding the warranty by importing is a BIG LOSS. 2007 all the way!

I can understand preferring the 1-owner over the 2-owner, but I don't think that's a big deal at all, especially since you have a warranty to back you up on major powertrain stuff (as well as other coverage). Plus, you could always pay someone knowledgeable to do a pre-purchase inspection for some additional peace of mind.

Oh, when you do decide to buy it, don't forget to print out this checklist and take it with you. Take your time and GO THROUGH EVERYTHING! There's nothing more annoying than finding out your new (used) car has a broken window motor, or something like that.

go for the 07 like everyone else has said its good to have the warranty, also there is no difference between the 07 and 08, so you won't be losing any features persay. g'luck with whatever you choose ... the type s is a fantastic car

Well... bad news everyone. The seller accepted someone else's offer. And I was looking so forward to selling my RSX and driving a TL Type S! Looks like I'm going to have to wait even longer for another to pop up. Wish me luck!
