Need to Clear EVERYTHING from TL Memory

Guys,

I'm selling my TL this weekend , and want to wipe the memory clean of all my personal stuff from the Address Book, Phone Book, Saved Voice Queues for Speed Dial, Garage Door Opener, Etc.

Is there a RESET that wipes it all at once? Or do I need to go through it all one thing at a time? I want to make sure none of 'ME' goes with the TL.

Any help would be very appreciated.

Thanks!

Yeah.. I belive if you hold down the HFL link and say setup... and then follow the prompts from there.. you should be able to erase or rest it all.

Now I need to find a way to do this with my girl. LoL

I believe you have to go through them one at a time- Homelink, HFL and Navi Home/Personal info- to clear them.

I had my battery disconnected over the weekend and after going through the Nav and radio codes, the home address was still listed.

Moving to Mexico, no way I want to abuse that car on the terrible roads down there. Buying a full-sized VAN for moving, which will get sold after the move is done.
Axis wheels with Yoko Advan S.4. tires will be in Black market in a few days.

THANKS guys for your input. I fear I'll have to sit in the car for an hour or two to wipe it all. Was hoping there might be a trick, but it appears not.

Thanks man! Moving to Puerto Vallarta. My wife and I are buying a restaurant, and I guess you could call it semi-retirement...if working 7 days a week, 18 hours a day is retiring!
We just got tired of the corporate world...need a change of attitute and climate.

This is correct. You need to access each system and delete your info.

^You'd think they would've made a "delete all" option somewhere. With all of the designing that went into this car, no one thought of this?

Damn you are MOVING there? Good luck with the business. When you get the restaurant post the name here so we know where to go when we are there. Acuraziners get special treatment (free desert ) haha

Issue is that there are multiple control units for each of these features. A delete option for all would be nice but there really would not be any way to a achieve it with the setup in this particular model IE The homelink isnt even on a Can bus so its not even possible for any of the units to communicate with it. I havent studied the newer system too closely yet so I am not sure if you can do it on the 09 model.

My son is a kitchen manager for the T-REX restaurant at the Disney boardwalk. Talk about hours. He's always at work. Good luck with your adventure.

WOW, this thread went WAY off topic!

For those of you who asked, the restaurant is called Banana Cantina, and downstairs is known as Choco Banana, famous for frozen bananas on a stick, dipped in chocolate and rolled in coconut, jimmies, or granola. The place has a website at www.bananacantina.com . The menu is posted online, with pricing in Pesos (in case you're wondering, the current exchange rate is about 14 Pesos/Dollar). There are about 20 tables, and its a really fun place to eat, drink and party in. If you have any specific questions about the joint, drop me a pm.

Now back on topic....
I already went through all the menus and deleted all my personal info. It really wasn't so bad, took about 1/2 hour. I still have to un-pair the phone when I drop the car off, Need to deprogram the garage door thingy, and need to remember to take my I-Pass off the windshield (I ALWAYS forget the damned thing when I sell a car). Otherwise it's ready.

Thanks a bunch for your help and good wishes guys!

Of all the northern colloquialisms, I've never understood this one. "Pop" makes sense, but "jimmies"?

Yes, I know what they are (sprinkles, but the way ), but I've never understood the term. Like I said, "pop" from "soda pop" makes sense; where did "jimmies" come from?
