Need Advice on Taking off Pinstripe.

Okay, So I know the pinstripe should just peel off. But when I successfully take the pinstripe off, there is a whole bunch of residue left.
Is there any type of material I can use to remove this residue?

Also, My friend has some scratches on his TL. They are not deep scratches (you can not feel them with your nails.) He needs some suggestions on what to do to get rid of these scratches. Where should he get the materials? Is it a hard procedure? etc.
Thanks!

3M sells a wax and grease remover that will remove the glue residue. After using it; just rewax that area and you're good to go, unless the stripe has been on there a while and it requires that area to be professionally buffed with compound to remove the shadow left over.

You got to be really careful when using compound. It sure does wonders and some of them aren't nice like ballinfizzle89 said
