Is this necessary?

When you get your car tinted do you guys put some kind of protection on your seats? I am asking this because the TL leather is so cheapy and I’m thinking of putting a blanket on the back seat so that when they’re working (kneeing their knees on seat) on the window plus taking the brake light it would help damaging the leather somewhat.

If you think you need it then do it. Putting a blanket on a seat is not a permanent mod and is not very expensive so it can easily be undone when the job is completed. Then you won't hae to worry about knee marks, which is a distinct possibility, or dirt or scratches.
