i just realized when looking while the sun shines on my car, i see very subtle bluish metallic coat on our paint. is that normal? anyone else notice this?

perfectly normal... thats the Pearl coat in your paint... hence the name, Nighthawk Black Pearl

it has a dark blue undercoat of paint, then finished over with a pearl and clearcoat. daytime it looks black, dusk you can see the blue on various angles.

I love that about the car. It is not just a plain dull black.
