Just picked up my TL Navi. ALready can't stand the voice, can this be disabled?

 

Yup! Got to setup screen (setup/info buttone) and you can turn the voice off also you can change it from male to female I guess.

 

Is there a way to turn off the voice for directions, but to leave it on to confirm voice commands, like changing the radio, climate control, etc.?

 

Great question. Would love to have confirm voice without it for directions unless prompted. Can anyone help?

 

when you set your destination, on the lower left there will be a voice button, just tap it and it will not give you direction to direction voice commands

 

Really? That's awesome - thanks! I always thought that button just repeated the last voice command, but I'll give it a try.

 

i'm pretty sure that's what it does, not 100% sure, but pretty sure, heck just try it out!

 

I still don't think this works? To have the voice off for the directions, but have it on for confirmations and features like the time.
If you turn the volumn to off in setup 1, you lose both features even when the Voice Feedback is on in Setup 3 (I know you can press the Voice button for verbal confirmation of directions)

If you turn the volumn on, you get the anoying turn by turn verbal.

I'm looking for no verbal directions, but with the voice feedback? Can the system be setup for this?

It's right most of the time...

And you can't fix it to talk only when you want it to?
