I believe I read in this forum that the updated Navi DVDs contain software and data for all new and previously manufactured Honda & Acura Navi systems. That would be very convenient for Honda Corporate - Just release one disk for updating all systems ...

I don't fry there, but I have lived there from time to time. I don't mind the heat as much as the cold.
My jobs have also taken me out of the country from time to time. I don't mind pulling up my roots every now and then, but I'll usually end up back in New Mexico or Arizona.

rets - This is kind of odd. Usually there isn't a version change unless something was modified. Did ACS say what was changed? I heard that there was an incompatibility between the 03TLs and the newer databases, so maybe this was just a fix (same data, different software).

I know what you said. The version change should mean something. First ACS doesn't know what's going on, they only record your issues/complaint/problems. Then, I called Acura Navi DVD hotline, there are three options, any cars between 00-03, 03 MDX, and 04 vehicles.
My conversation didn't ask them any fix or software update for new version DVD, but asked them if the 200309-1.04 would have more map/data information, they said "no", any Navi DVD for 04 model contains the same map info.
Maybe it really has a fix as you said (same data, new software). I guess I could get it if I insist to purchase it when necessary.
