Navi screen dead & can’t enter radio code
I have a 2007 Type S and the Navi touchscreen is unresponsive. The battery died and now I need to enter the navi and radio codes but can’t because the screen is unresponsive to touch. I tried entering the codes via the radio presets with no luck. Anybody have any idea what to do?

I know that you can do a "downgrade" from a Navigation to standard radio head in the i believe it was 2004-2006 TL's, i don't see why one wouldn't be able to do it in a 2007. The head/dash display looks to be very similar if not identical, i'm sure you could.

Have you entered your radio code first?
sometimes in order to get access to the navigation, you have to enter the radio code first via the numbers below the cd tray.
then you can turn on the radio and get the nav codes entered......but if that doesn't work then your nav is probably fried

Nav screen possible fix
My navigation screen was completely unresponsive after a battery replacement. I have an 06 TL. There is a cleaning technique on here that brought back the use of most screen functions (audio display/ fader/balance/presets,etc). Sometimes the Nav system works, but I find my phone to be more reliable. Anyway, you might want to try this. https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-a...errors-873489/
I was wondering if anyone here has tried using a disc player cleaning kit? Most of them I’ve researched say to go to different tracks; not sure how that could be accomplished with this system. I understand that there is an option of taking the nav system out and sending it to Alpine for repair. Good luck.
