Navi screen

Does anyone notice that the navi screen is a little hard to press? You have to press a little harder than on the Accord's navi.

Also on my accord's navi, when I set the display to auto it doesn't changed black at night but on the TL it does. Is this normal?

My comparison is with our 2000 Odyssey.

I have noticed this as well, though what I have thought is that you need to press longer, not necessarily harder. I don't feel I can type as fast, and to get things like the initial "OK" cleared, I have to hold my finger there longer.

But, now I will have to perform a test comparing pressure versus time.

Regarding the black at night, that seems to be the new default for dimming the screen at night. Our Ody, when the headlights are on it dims to more of a grey, rather than the black. (There is a section on the setup screen that selects background color - now I need to go check to see if that is only for the night time background).

Maybe your right about having to press longer. I'll check it out later.

OK, 6mtV6, I realize you just got your TL. (Congrats!) I realize you're excited, and it's hard to come up with an original complaint on this forum. But...the navi is...hard...to press?

Anyway, enjoy the car! (You got an automatic, right? Change your damn nick! )

Change my nick and loose all my posts counts? Never!

It's not really a complaint. I just wanted to make sure it was normal. I would assume it would be the same as the Accord navi since there both made by Alpine.

My nick was CLGator when I first joined the board and was still driving an '01 CL. The mods were kind enough to change mine after I joined...dare I say it...Team TL.

It didn't affect my post count or anything. In fact, if you look up a list of threads I've authored, some of the old ones still say CLGator.

I know you weren't really complaining. I was just having a little fun. I actually agree with you, our Navi does seem to need a little bit of a heavy press.
