Navi - Problem or just glitch??

I had a strange thing happen to my Navigation system this morning. I must have forgot to hit the OK button and after about 5 min. when i did hit it - nothing came up - total black. The audio screen would not come up either. I thought Oh Great now it has to go back. While on the way to work I got behind a stopped school bus so I thought what the hell and shut the ignition off and restarted. Everything came up as normal and it's been fine ever since. I'm wondering if there is a timeout if you don't hit the OK where it will shut you out.

The display will shut off after a minute or so if you haven't hit ok on the navi start up screen. Just touch the screen to start it again.

I tried that but it did not respond to any of the buttons or touching the screen itself.

It must have been a glitch. On mine if you hit the joystick , map, menu etc button it comes right on. I haven't left it as long a 5 minutes though as I could become lost by then.

Just like Jss1 said, it must have been a glitch. Just like any electronic device, it happens-it has not happen to me though (Nav I mean).

I usually use the joystick to avoid finger prints so that was the first thing I tried. I'm figuring and hoping it was a bootup glitch - I don't want my dash ripped apart - I have no rattles and don't want to start any.

Try hitting the back button on the steering wheel....brings the OK screen back up.
