Name your Favourite thing about your TL?

My girlfriend and I were debating about the best or favourite feature/function/aspect of my TL-08.

I couldn't name just one, but if I had to, it would be the trip-tronic transmission option.

Curious to see what the rest think?

Name just one favourite, and your car type...

I have never had a car with H.I.Ds before so i think these things are amazing. There is some much more usuable light especially with the projector style headlight.

i like how the key#1 and key#2 are programmable to the memory seat function. even tho someone did drive your car previously, once you use your key, say #1 to unlock the car, the seat, mirrors are all going back to my spec. very convenience.

I like how when I put the car in reverse the side view mirrors will tilt down to the street. Makes it a little bit easier to park the car strait between the lines.

the 6spd transmission.

nah but i think the fact that you can use practically anything just by your voice is unique. not many cars can be told to play track 25 on disc 4.

If I HAD to name just one thing I like, it would be the Navi......It's pretty easy to use and has really helped me find some locations.

So far... the voice commands (HFL). Definitely a feature unique to Acura/Honda. I am surprised more companies haven't done it yet!

From some of the responses on this forum, though, it looks like I will have to dig into the owners manual to update some stuff on my car.

Ray-ban...when you double click your key fob to unlock the doors, just keep holding down the button and all 4 windows will go down along with your sunroof too!

I agree with you 6spd. The DVD Audio system is what initially attracted me to the TL. Being a radio disc jockey, I really appreciate high quality music, so the surround sound was a good lead-in for me.

By the way, I was at a custom car stereo place yesterday having extra LED interior lights installed. I asked my salesperson if they had "anything I shouldn't be living without?", and he said "hell no...your Type S already comes fully loaded." The only thing he suggested is a remote start, but I didn't want the extra key fob, so I passed on it.

I've only had my car 7 weeks, so I'm still just getting use to it. I believe the thing I like most, it makes a statement or sticks out a bit since there are so few where I live.
Maybe one or two in a town of 250,000. Not even a dealer here.

Here in Big 3 country, an Acura is like a needle in a haystack.

I drool everyday at some, especially the S-Types on this site, but for now I'm pleased with what I bought.
'08 T.L. (NBP) no nav.
Parchment interior, splashguards, 20 % tint, and washed and waxed often.
As I've stated before, although my old Avalon was a great car, this is certainly quite a change.

The other great thing is this site.

the front side markers and rear side markers. the TL is the only car i kno that has both and i like how they come on when the parking lights are on. other cars either have the front ones or the rear ones. and some have front side markers but only flash when u turn left or right like the mini coopers.

For me it's the little things, like the blue ambient lighting, the textured feel of the steering wheel and how the dash lights 'max' switch will toggle from max to your personal setting... convienient if you run with your lights on in the daytime.

I'm going to add when you hit the key all you have to do is just turn it let it go instead of waiting till it starts, when you get it remembers your setting even though nobody else drives mine, still nice. Paddle shifters and the lighting. The only thing i wish i could do is instead of it saying Welcome driver 1 it would say whatever you program it to and also the shifts were quicker during manual mode. Also that the transmission had a different gate like 1,2,3,D4,D5 that would be the shiznaz..

is this based on stock TL's?
if so, i would say my headlights or the blue ambient light inside haha
but on the aftermarket scene, either my carbon fiber hood or my accord coilovers haha

Let's put it this way... The only thing I dislike on my TL is that gigantic blind spot from the C-Pillars. Everything else is my favorite thing.

The one thing I like is the sound of the exhaust during acceleration. Merging on to the freeway, with the radio off, rev it up a bit some until the VTEC comes on. Man, so sweet!!! Now, do it again later...and again...
